{Consideration provided by LEGOLAND California Resort}
I waited until just before our visit to LEGOLAND California Resort to tell my kids that we would be celebrating Halloween with our favorite LEGO Friends and Characters during Brick-Or-Treat Party Nights. Then the squeals ensued. It isn’t Halloween without a visit to LEGOLAND, and this year, I’ve got the inside on what’s new, how to make the most of your visit, and where to find all of that candy!
Brick-Or-Treat at LEGOLAND California
Every weekend in October, LEGOLAND California Resort hosts a spooktacular evening Halloween celebration complete with spirited entertainment, a frighteningly-fun costume contest, a monstrous dance party and of course, candy for days! As you plan for your visit to LEGOLAND during Brick-Or-Treat, here are 5 Tips For Visiting Brick-or-Treat at LEGOLAND California Resort.
- Arrive early. For some families with older children, this means arriving at the park when it opens. This will give you plenty of time to experience all of the rides and attractions at LEGOLAND before donning your costume for the evening’s party.
- Take note of show times. This special celebration is your only opportunity to experience the Boo Crew, the Spirits of Brick-or-Treat light show, The AstroBash Dance Party and more. Look at your schedule before the evening begins to plan out your night.
- Know when to trick-or-treat. As soon as Brick-or-Treat Party Nights begins, families tend to gravitate towards the treat stations. This year, LEGOLAND has added a number of stations with over one million pieces of candy so you don’t have to spend your night waiting in line. Some treat stations open as early as 3:00 pm. My personal recommendation is to wait about an hour or so into the night to begin trick-or-treating when the initial crowds have dissipated. Also take note of the stations offering special treats such as Clif Bars, a LEGO Magazine, and a commemorative LEGO brick.
- Dress in layers. Evenings at LEGOLAND can be chilly because of the park’s proximity to the ocean. I layer warm clothes under my kids’ costumes and bring a small blanket to keep them warm. Also note that both kids and adults can wear costumes.
- Buy your tickets online. Tickets for Brick-or-Treat Party Nights can be purchased for as low as $49 if bought in advance, online. Remember that you can also extend your LEGOLAND Callifornia/SEA LIFE Aquarium ticket to enjoy the Halloween activities for an additional fee. Visit LEGOLAND online for discounts and offers, including packages that include a stay at the LEGOLAND Hotel.
