They’ve seen the billboards and trailers…played the latest video game…and even Smurfed out with tattoos, toys, and treats! My kids are totally Smurfy about the next Parisian adventure our favorite little blue mushroom-dwelling friends will embark on this coming week.
To celebrate the release of The Smurfs 2, Sony hosted a festive, film-inspired party and advanced screening at their studio in New York City this week. The timing was perfect given the fact that we were on vacation in the city this past week. Having visited Sony’s studio in LA, I expected their East Coast locale to be incredible. Take a look at the lobby of the famed building!
Once inside, we were greeted with Smurftastic treats! Speaking of treats, Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt is offering a brand new film-inspired flavor, Smurfberry Blast, which can be topped with chocolate Smurflettes, Smurfberry gummies, and Smurfy sprinkles. Guests will also be able to purchase a special mushroom-capped reusable cup for a limited time. And, Buddy Fruits has partnered with the film to offer fans an opportunity to win a trip to Paris! Just visit Buddy Fruits’ Facebook page before September 2nd, 2013 for a chance to win a family vacation for 4 to Paris which includes round-trip airfare and accommodations.
Before the screening we also had photo opportunities with Papa Smurf and Smurfette and played the brand new Smurfs 2 video game!
I’ll have more information on the game (which is now available on most gaming platforms) in a future post. Plus, scroll below for your chance to win a copy!
Lastly, we were sent home with a Smurfette figurine from Color Me Mine. For a limited time, visit the studio to paint Smurfette for your chance to win a 3-Night Beaches Resorts Luxury (R) Included Vacation to Jamaica or Turks & Caicos including airfare. Visit your local studio to inquire about Smurfy Kids Night Out Events and Smurf-tastic Birthday Parties.
I can’t wait to finally share my thoughts regarding the film. It’s filled with humor, heart, adventure, and nostalgia. Plus, it’s set in the glamorous city of Paris!
If you’re feeling Smurfy and looking for a fun activity to participate in with your kids, you can download these coloring pages and activity sheets.
