The LEGO Movie World to Open at LEGOLAND California

The LEGO Movie brought to life the popular line of colorful, interlocking plastic bricks that have become so popular among kids. The movie’s ingenuity captivated audiences. The 4th film was released earlier this year, with a 5th in development. LEGOLAND California also debuted The Lego Movie: 4D – A New Adventure after the original film’s theatrical debut. As the park continues to immerse families in the LEGO world, LEGOLAND California recently announced the largest addition in the park’s history: The LEGO Movie World.

The LEGO Movie World at LEGOLAND California

In 2020, LEGOLAND California will take guests from theater to theme park. The LEGO Movie World, inspired by the first and second films, will feature interactive experiences that will immerse families in a world that was created by LEGO and the team at Warner Bros.

In Bricksburg, guests will hop aboard Emmet’s triple decker flying couch for a thrill-seeking adventure in Masters of Flight. This flying theater attraction will take guests on a suspended ride with a full-dome virtual screen, simulating the sensation of flying above notable lands like Middle Zealand, Cloud Cuckoo Land, Pirates Cove, and Outer Space. Masters of Flight features cutting-edge technology, including a 180-degree turn in this ride experience. You’ll also see Sweet Mayhem and the crew from The LEGO Movie!

The LEGO Movie World will place families in the hearts of Bricksburg, where they will explore Benny’s Play Ship (a space-themed playground), feel the rush of falling from UniKitty’s Disco Drop, ride a full re-imagined carousel, and meet Emmet and his friends in Emmet’s Super Suite apartment. UniKitty’s Disco Drop gives families the opportunity to experience UniKitty’s varied personalities, as the ride launches guests to the top of Cloud Cuckoo Land, then drops, spins, and bounces back down to earth for a fun, thrilling experience.

The LEGO Movie World opens in the Spring of 2020 and will be included with admission to LEGOLAND California Resort.
