My foodie husband and I are raising little foodies. Other moms ask me how I coerce my son into eating things like broccoli and salmon or Japanese Teppan. Or how it is that we can drive by a certain fast food chain without a meltdown. My answer is simple…my children eat what we eat.
We eat out anywhere from one to several times a week, depending on our work schedules. When I go out to eat, I want good food…real food…wholesome food. Which is why I’m excited about Kids Restaurant Week, which starts Sunday, June 27th and runs through Saturday July 3, 2010.
Earlier today, we headed over to The District for the Kids Restaurant Week, launch party and had a “taste” of some of the deals that will be offered this week. The week is focused on helping families dine together. Participating restaurants will feature special dining deals (i.e. family-style prix-fixe menus) and Kids Eat Free deals. For a complete list, just visit the website. Here are some of the fantastic deals you can find around the OC this week:

What a great idea! Someone needs to “copycat” this idea in Southern Arizona!
