A visit with Santa is a longstanding tradition in our family and one my children look forward to each Christmas. While there are a number of venues children can meet with St. Nick to share their Christmas wishes, one of the most unique experiences includes a train ride to Santa’s Workshop at the Orange Empire Railway Museum.

Train to Santa’s Workshop
Located in Perris, California, the Orange Empire Railway Museum offers visitors the opportunity to explore one of the West Coast’s largest collection of rail cars and locomotives. This year, the venue will host a Santa Train the 4 weekends before Christmas. Here is a brief overview of what guests can expect:
Take a magical ride to visit Santa Claus at his North Pole Workshop. During the ride, Santa’s elves will lead families in Christmas songs, holiday trivia, and storytelling. Santa will greet guests when they arrive. Kids can play on the Thomas train tables and enjoy crafts while they wait to meet with Santa and Mrs. Claus. Refreshments are also available at the Pinacate Station boarding area.
Since tickets will likely sell out (particularly for the evening trains), I recommend making reservations in advanced. Tickets are $15 for ages 2 – 11 and $20 for ages 12 and up. Train dates are as follows:
November 29th, 30th, & December 1st, 2nd, 7th, 8th, 9th, 13th, 14th, 15th, 16th. Times vary by date and include departures at 11 am, 1 pm, 5:30 pm, and 7:00 pm.
