We’re just a few days before Thanksgiving, and soon I’ll be busy shopping and prepping for our family dinner. Tradition always prevails, and once again, we’ll have our favorite foods including turkey, stuffing, rice pilaf (a dish my father made every single year), cranberry sauce, and pumpkin pie.
While I’ve never made an entire Thanksgiving meal by myself, I do enjoy preparing certain dishes including the dessert and the cranberry sauce. I absolutely LOVE homemade cranberry sauce and prefer it over the sweet, jellied, canned version.
Today’s Homemade Cranberry Sauce recipe comes from my amazingly talented foodie friend Shelby Barone, who authors Orange County Mom Blog and Glitterful Felt Stories. We both share a love and passion for healthy eating and you’ll often find us gnoshing and gabbing at our local Whole Foods Market.
This particular recipe was created in the Ninja Cooking System, my new favorite kitchen appliance! I’ll be sharing more information about it shortly, but in a nutshell, can be used to do the following:
Steam Infused Roasting
Searious Slow Cooking
Steam Infused Baking
Fast One-Pot Meal Making
My favorite feature of the Ninja Cooking System is the ability to create an entire meal with just one pot! This is an awesome time-saver.
Here is a visual step-by-step guide to making Shelby’s Homemade Cranberry Sauce:

3. Add 1 cup of orange juice and 1 cup of water
