Talking Friends Superstar Toys Launch Plus a Special Los Angeles Appearance *Giveaway*

I remember the first time I heard my children giggling to the sounds of a high-pitched talking cat on my husband’s phone. I had to stop and do a double take because it was probably one of the funniest moments to date. I had never seen them giggle so profusely as they engaged with Talking Tom, now a global phenomenon!  And interestingly enough, Tom isn’t the only high-pitched feline to entertain children.  There is a crew of “Talking Friends,” an interactive web series that was created in partnership with Disney Interactive Studios, and just in time for the holiday season, an app-powered toy.

Talking Friends Superstar ToyJust a few weeks ago, a brand new Talking Friends Superstar plush toy line debuted, which seamlessly talk and interact with the Talking Friends apps and to each other.  We’ve yet to see the toys and app in action, but the technology is such that while the Talking Friends are engaging in their hilarious antics on screen, the Talking Friends Superstars join in and respond to their virtual counterparts (very cool!).  What’s neat about these toys is that children can play with or without the apps.

The toys were modeled after the Talking Friends characters and each one features catchy tunes, amusing jokes, and whimsical sounds. Each has unique things to say both by themselves and when engaged with the others. One other thing parents and children will appreciate is the fact that the toys can be updated when new sound content becomes available via the website, so that children don’t tire of them.

There are three Talking Friends Superstar toys available online and each retail for $49.99.

If you are in the LA area, be sure to stop by Hollywood and Highland to meet Talking Tom Cat and his Talking Friends and watch as they perform on stage for the first time. During the event, fans can enter to win a Talking Friends Superstar plush toy and other items.
