Take a Virtual Swing To Help Frigidaire Save the Children

Posted by Caryn Bailey 4 Comments

Being a mom means that sometimes, I have to get dirty.  Whether it’s at home in the kitchen or outside in the park, dirt…and stains are inevitable.

Earlier this week, my son and I went to bat against stains…literally!  Frigidaire kicked off Stain Games in Los Angeles with ambassador Jennifer Garner to help raise funds and awareness for Save the Children’s U.S. Programs. Save the Children is an organization that helps to save lives, particularly when disaster strikes, by providing food, medical care, and education.  The organization also helps communities rebuild through long-term recovery programs and ensures access to nutritious snacks and exercise through their CHANGE program.

Jennifer Garner And Frigidaire Go To Bat For Save The Children

My son, along with several aspiring players, took to the field in support of the organization.  Frigidaire has committed to donate up to $1 (as part of their $500,000 commitment to the cause) each time someone steps up to take a virtual swing on the website.  While you’re batting to change lives, be sure to enter to win a new Frigidaire Affinity washer and dryer which features Ready Steam technology for enhanced stain removal (no purchase or donation necessary).

Even the littlest of players, like my son, enjoyed getting active (and messy!) on the field.  Children of all ages swung, hit, threw, and caught with Jennifer Garner.  It was a really good reminder to me that getting messy with my children, however inconvenient, is important.  At the end of the day, my son asked me if I could teach him to play baseball.  Of course I told him that between daddy and I, we’ll ensure he gets proper T-Ball lessons this summer.

My participation in Frigidaire’s Stain Games event was sponsored by Frigidaire who provided me with travel arrangements to and from Los Angeles to participate.
