This giveaway is now closed. Thanks for stopping by. The winner is Lori Z. Congrats!
In the past, I’ve written about the amazing things LeapFrog does to help children learn how to read. Last year, LeapFrog donated $1.5 million in Tag School Reading Systems and books to Kindergarten classrooms which reached more than 10, 000 children. After teachers across the country had used the program, they found that their students demonstrated improved reading skills and were more enthusiastic readers. I can tell you from our experience with the Tag Junior, that my son has a love for books and a desire to read.
LeapFrog’s Tag. Give. Read. campaign aims to give $100,000 in Tag Reading Systems and books to kindergarten classrooms across the country. LeapFrog will match donations to teachers dollar for dollar up to $100,000. If you’d like to donate, visit DonorsChoose.org.
Because the campaign has been so successful, Jayneoni Moore is launching a parallel program through The Jayneoni Moore Children’s Fund called “Tag, You’re It!” The goal is to put more Tag Reading Systems and books into the hands of more children. Ms. Moore and her celebrity mom-friends Holly Robinson Peete, Tori Spelling, Melissa Joan Hart, and Mel B have been purchasing Tag Readers to give away to classrooms in need. LeapFrog is giving 5 Tag books for each system donated to the cause.
On November 14th, celebrity moms and their children will gather in Hollywood for a “packing party” and you just might get an opportunity to join them.
Win It! One of you will win a Tag Reader and the new USA map. Simply leave me a comment with something you learned about either one of the campaigns. Each Tag winner will be entered to win an all-expenses-paid trip to Hollywood to meet Jayneoni and celebrity moms at the “packing party.” Comments will close on Thursday, November 4th, 2010 at midnight PDT. Winners will be announced on Friday. Duplicates and comments not including the above information will be disqualified. Comments are moderated. If you don’t see your comment in a reasonable amount of time, send me an email. Bloggers and non-bloggers may enter. If you don’t want to leave your email address, please be sure to check back for my announcement on the winner. Please note that winners must respond within 48 hours of being announced/contacted or another winner will be drawn.Want an extra entry? Do any or all of the following and receive an extra entry for each one. Be sure to leave me a separate comment for each additional entry.
