So…I know we’re on vacation but I can’t keep it in any longer! One week ago, we had our 20 week ultrasound. And…it’s official. We are having a GIRL! I had to ask the gal doing the ultrasound THREE times to make sure she was right. After I spent a minute crying first.
The thought of having a daughter just brings tears to my eyes. Yes, it will be fun to buy pink and put bows in her hair and take her to tea. But more so, I think of the special relationship I have with my mother. Even at 31, I call her my best friend.
Thank you to everyone who played along and guessed last week! Many of your comments made me giggle. I’ll be choosing a winner shortly! Mmmm…chocolate…..

Now, make sure you eat right, and get plenty or rest – that’s MY mommy voice – sorry, can’t help it, my babies are all grown up 🙂

Oh I’ve been waiting for this! Girls ARE sugar & spice….they’re just the best! Now I’m talking as a Mom to three boys…but Meema to three girls! Be prepared though, girls are Daddy’s Girls when they’re little………But like you said, my Mom is also my best friend & I’m SO lucky to have her at my age! She 85 & I talk to her every day! Oh I’m SO excited for you! And the picture….that’s a picture….one to save for her “Sweet 16 ” B’Day party no doubt! I had to pass it on to my son who just had his third little girl two weeks ago. They always had their legs crossed for pictures,it made him happy but it also held out his hope for just one boy…….but if you ask him, he wouldn’t trade his three girls for 10 boys! Me neither, I know what that can be!
