Sofia the First Boutique Launches at the Disney Store

Posted by Caryn Bailey 3 Comments

As a little girl, I remember the many dress-up clothes I would twirl around in, dreaming of far off places and daring adventures.  In fact, somewhere in the bottom of my parents’ closet lies a bag with a few of my mom’s favorites, in hopes that maybe one day she’ll show them to my daughter.

Up until last Fall, my daughter’s favorite show was Doc McStuffins which features a six year old little girl who can “fix” toys with the help of her stuffed animal friends.  I’m not sure if it’s because her mom is a nurse or she’s simply drawn to the idea of helping others, but she has been nearly obsessed with the show since it first debuted on the Disney Channel.

Sofia the First Tiara and Amulet

And then Sofia the First premiered and my daughter, who has already been showing interest in princesses, just fell in love with the show and the 7 year old aspiring princess. What I personally love about the show is that it focuses on helping little girls understand what it really means to be a princess…a little girl’s character.  Some of the themes we’ve seen presented in the shows include kindness, loyalty, and honesty.

Since the show launched, my daughter has been asking for a few Sofia-inspired items such as tees she can wear and toys she can play with. The Disney Store launched an exclusive line which inspires children to play and recreate their own magical moments with costumes, sleepwear, toys, accessories and more. Here is a collage I put together of some of the featured products:

Sofia the 1st Products

What I personally love about the new line is the fact that little girls like my daughter can engage in dress-up and pretend play with items that were directly inspired by the show including Sofia’s amulet necklace and tiara.  The dress is absolutely gorgeous in person and features lots of layers of tulle,  a satin dress overlay, and royal embellishments.

Here is a snapshot of the Sofia the First Boutique at the Disney Store:

Sofia the First Costume– This costume was inspired by Sofia’s gown and features ruffles, bows and royal embellishments.

Sofia the First Light-Up Amulet Necklace – This beautiful purple amulet necklace lights up, just like Sofia’s.

Sofia the First Tiara – This embellished tiara was inspired by Sofia’s and will help little girls feel like a true princess-in-training.

Sofia the First Book and CD– This is the story of a young girl whose life changes when her mom marries the King. The book includes a CD with three exclusive songs.

While many of the items are sold out online, I encourage you to call or visit your local store as we were able to find some sold-out items in-store.

Oh my goodness! My little girl would absolutely love that dress. She is in love with that show and I had no idea they made these products for it. Definitely will consider buying for her bday!

My daughter loves sofia and doc but she’s 11 years old and sad that everything she wants is too little for her. But she won’t give up even if all her friends might laugh at her at liking Sofia and other little girl stuff.but I will get her sofia’s amulet and crown for her so she can show her friends that she’s brave and doesn’t care if they laugh at her I always say to her “go girl” 😀
