I don’t know if you remember, but a few weeks ago I was very, very sick with a sinus infection. There used to be a time when I had to see an ENT every month for severe allergies. As I’ve gotten older, it seems like they’re either getting better or I’m learning how to manage them more effectively.
Sometimes a product comes at just the right time and such was the case with SinuCleanse. I had no idea I would need it as quickly as I did. I’m actually glad I used SinuCleanse because while I didn’t know it, I was pregnant at the time I had the sinus infection. I’m not sure if this is a good thing or not, but because my body reacts adversely to most cold medications, I am often left suffering through colds, flus, and sinus infections with little medicinal relief. SinuCleanse is company that manufactures a nasal wash system to help adults and children naturally relieve painful sinus symptoms. I had an opportunity to test out both the Neti Pot and the SinuCleanse Squeeze system during my bout with a sinus infection. Here is a little more information about both systems from the site:
Developed centuries ago in ancient India, the neti pot uses the gentle flow of gravity to deliver the 100% all-natural, SinuCleanse saline solution.
The SinuCleanse Squeeze is perfect for the person who prefers a positive pressure device. The SinuCleanse Squeeze technology allows for the most convenient, clean and effective squeeze bottle on the market today.
I’ve actually used saline nasal sprays in the past and I found both systems to work well in temporarily relieving congestion (my major complaint). I preferred the SinuCleanse Squeeze over the Neti Pot simply because I felt I had a little more control over the flow. I have to say that while both systems are relatively easy to use, it took me a few times to get each of them working right. Each system comes with 30 all-natural, pre-measured saline packets (yes, I like that I don’t have to measure or think about how much to use). The solution is completely natural and does not contain preservatives, anti-caking agents, or iodine (commonly found in over-the-counter nasal sprays). Both systems relieve allergy symptoms, nasal congestion, sinus infection, rhinitis of pregnancy, sinus headache, and post-nasal drip.
One of my questions was how nasal washing helps with these symptoms. According to the site, flooding the nasal cavity with warm saline solution removes excess mucus and moisturizes the nasal cavity. Ideally, you would do this daily, to help control and prevent symptoms.
Both products are reasonably priced and available online and at pharmacies and health food stores nationwide!

I love the Neti Pot. I had the worst sinus infection of my life last spring and the Neti Pot was the only thing that cleared it up.
