Save On Fuel When You Shop at Vons/Pavilions *Giveaway*

A few weeks ago, I drove to my local gas station, as I typically do when the fuel gauge is hovering dangerously close to the “empty” line.  Closed! For reasons I’m not entirely sure of, we had a temporary fuel shortage, which meant some stations ran out of gas while others drove their prices sky high to keep up with the demand.

California ranks 4th behind New York, Alaska, and Hawaii amongst the states with the highest gas prices.  As you can imagine, we are always looking for ways to save on fuel. So what if you could save at the gas pump simply by shopping for the things you were already planning on purchasing?

Vons Fuel Rewards

Vons recently updated their Gas Reward Points program, which allows shoppers the opportunity to earn points towards fuel rewards. Here is a brief overview of how the program works:

Vons Fuel Reward Program

Shop at your local Vons/Pavilions store as you normally would (be sure to use your club card every time you shop).

  • Each $1 spent on groceries = 1 point
  • Each $1 spent on qualifying gift cards  = 2 points
  • Each $1 spent on pharmacy items = 1 points

Vons Fuel Rewards

When you reach 100 points, you’ll earn a 10 cents per gallon reward for a single fill-up at participating Chevron and Texaco stations. And on any single fill-up, you an use up to 20 cents per gallon in rewards.

  • 100 points = 10¢ per gallon in Rewards
  • 200 points = 20¢ per gallon in Rewards

Vons Fuel Rewards

To use your rewards, be sure to their gas locator, or if you are near a Vons gas station you’ll be able to use up to $1 per gallon in rewards!

  42. I haven’t tried the program yet. When I lived by one I had no idea safeway had a gas station. Moving back to that area very soon so I will have to check it out.
