One of my favorite things about this season is the time we spend together as a family. Work typically slows down which gives us more time to go out and do things we enjoy like experiencing Disneyland during the holidays or simply staying home for a quiet movie night. This is typically the time when holiday-inspired films are released, bringing inspiration and cheer and sharing the Christmas message.
Last week, we kicked off the season with a festive holiday celebration inspired by Disney’s latest release, Santa Paws 2: The Santa Pups. My kids lounged on giant, over-sized plush animals while they watched the film for the very first time.
In Disney’s latest live-action film, a new litter of adorably spunky Great Pyrenees pups nearly destroy Santa’s Workshop with their playful antics. They soon realize that the best way to prove they are responsible enough to be Santa’s Helpers is to spread the Christmas spirit. With the help of a magic crystal, they begin granting wishes, but their good intentions backfire when one unhappy boy wishes that Christmas go away forever. When his wish is granted and the Christmas spirit disappears, it will be up to Mrs. Claus and the pups to find a way to reverse the spell before Christmas is lost forever.
While we haven’t seen the film in it’s entirety, we are looking forward to seeing these new adorable pups in a warm, lighthearted film that brings a delightful message about the meaning of Christmas.
Santa Paws 2: The Santa Pups is now on DVD and Blu-ray.
