So many of my favorite memories as a child involve Christmas. Every year right after Thanksgiving, we would pick out a fresh Christmas tree and spend an afternoon decorating it to the sounds of Bing Crosby. Fresh baked cookies, a visit with Santa, a drive around the neighborhood to see the Christmas Lights, and binging on all of our favorite holiday movies brought us closer together during a season that is often wrought with busyness. I knew that when I had children, I wanted to make the season as magical and memorable as possible, so I took many of my own family’s traditions and weaved them into some new ones. This year, we added a visit to Tanaka Farms to our list of Christmas Traditions.

The Holiday Wagon Tour runs weekends through December 17, 2017 and includes a tour guide, who leads guests through a seasonal exploration of the 30-acre farm and its history. Stops along the way offer families opportunities to taste the fresh winter vegetables currently growing on the farm including the seasonal fruit persimmon. Guests are then transported to the hilltop Sanrio Village for a visit with Santa (including a photo) additional Sanrio-inspired photo opps. The approximately one-hour wagon tour concludes at the Tanaka Farm’s Holiday Market Stand.
