Riding Along In His Automobile…

Posted by Caryn Bailey 2 Comments

My son absolutely loves ride-on toys.  He is full of energy these days, always on the go.  One of my close friends had a birthday party for one of her little girls several months ago at her home.  The event was held in her HUGE backyard and my son grew attached to this little red and yellow car.  I remember the tears that fell when I told him we had to leave (because that meant he had to get out of that car and leave it behind).

LTLogoIt’s been about a year and to this day, my son still remembers that car.  Every time he sees it he asks to ride in it and take it with him.  Thanks to Little Tikes, we received their 30th Anniversary Edition Cozy Coupe to review.  As soon as it came, my son recognized it and begged my husband to get it out for him to play with.  And it doesn’t matter if we’re inside or outside, if we’re at home, he’s in it.

I didn’t know this but the Cozy Coupe has been around for 30 years!  They’re celebrating this year with a special 30th Anniversary Edition that is absolutely adorable!  I think the best part is the cute little face on the front of the car.  It has all of the same features including a removable floor.  If your child isn’t able to self-propel it, you as the parent can push them around in it without worrying about their feet dragging or getting stuck (it even includes a little handle on the back for that very purpose).  My son was too old for the removable floor when we received this so we’ll see how it works with number 2 (if my son ever lets number 2 play in it!).

Some of the features that make this car unique include cup holders in the back (LOVE this), a moving/clicking ignition switch (which my son somehow figured out how to remove just enough to put in my husband’s key), a gas cap that opens and closes, and an optional inside lock.  Its very sturdy and I like how the front wheels rotate making it easy for my son to maneuver.

The new Cozy Coupe retails for $49.99 and is available for purchase at retailers nationwide.  It’s also available in pink for girls and in a patrol and rescue version.

These are so cute… my kids had one when they were little, they’re all grown up now (ages 18 & 21) and I would love to get one for our grandson who is 3. I LOVE the new one with the face, it is so cute!
Your son looks like he really enjoys his… thanks for the review and for sharing your pictures and video.
