I don’t think I have met a single mom who hasn’t or isn’t struggling to help their child(ren) learn to eat well. Like most children, my son is picky. Combine that with his food allergies and I find myself constantly racking my brain to come up with healthy, interesting foods that he’ll actually eat.
Have you ever done something over-the-top to get your children to eat? One of my favorites was when I convinced my son that eating broccoli was like eating a small tree. He loved it so much, that to this day, he still proudly tells me that he is eating his “trees.”
This year, I’ll be working once again with Ragu to dialogue about dinner. It’s important for me to converse with other moms because it’s one of the most challenging meals for us. I often find myself cooking the same dishes over and over again and dinner is that meal where lack of time, hunger, impatience, and fatigue all converge.
This year, Ragu is launching a series of videos entitled Ragu Asks, which portray the over-the-top things parents do to get their children to eat well. Here is my favorite one so far:
