Celebrations are important in our family. Despite the fact that we believe Easter is much more than bunnies and eggs, my husband and I still strive to create meaningful memories surrounding each holiday, no matter how minor it is. Because our children are still little, our projects need to be easy to make in a short amount of time.
Some of our favorite DIY projects utilize Wilton’s cookie and gingerbread kits. This month, we made Bunny Pops with the company’s cookie kit! Not only are they easy to make, they look and taste incredible!
The kit comes with everything you need to assemble, decorate, and gift your Bunny Pops including the pre-baked cookie pops, white and pink icing mix, lollipop sticks, decorating tips and bags, sprinkles, treat bags, and gift stickers.
The first thing you’ll do is make the icing. I recommend starting with the smallest amount of recommended liquid to ensure your icing is the consistency necessary to assemble and decorate your cookie pops. Be sure to keep the icing covered with a damp cloth so that it doesn’t dry out.
Now you’ll assemble your pops by placing a small amount of icing in between two cookies (you can use a spatula or a decorating bag filled with icing), being certain to insert a lollipop stick in the middle. If you put too much icing, you can use a knife to smooth the sides. At this point, I typically refrigerate the pops so they don’t move around when I get to the decorating stage.
Now it’s time to decorate! You can use the photos and tips provided in the kit or get creative with your own ideas. The kit includes more than enough supplies to decorate and wrap your bunny pops. Of course, all of the pops were gone before I could wrap them up.
