Like most moms, a large part of my day is spent correcting and directing my kids. And while it’s important for kids to have structure and routine (many kids, including my own, thrive on that), I also believe that play and having fun is an integral part of their growth and development. Particularly during the summer months, we flex when it comes to bedtime, sleep in when we can, get messy and crafty and culinary, and have Popsicles before dinner during our hot summer months.
Last month, I shared our Family Rules for Being a Kid in anticipation of Popsicle’s new guidebook. After receiving almost 2000 submissions, Popsicle narrowed it down to 40 of their favorite Rules for Being a Kid and compiled a free, downloadable guidebook.
