Playful, Barbie-Inspired Fashions Now Available at Walmart

Posted by Caryn Bailey 1 Comment

When I was a little girl, I had a pair of pretend, Barbie-themed high heels that I wore all around the house.  It was part of my dress-up outfit and I was very proud of those shoes.  Of all the toys and games I played with as a child, it’s my Barbie dolls that I still have carefully stored in a box at my parents house.  I hope that one day in the not so distant future, my daughter and I can play together with those dolls…just as my mom and I did.

My almost 3 year old daughter only recently began taking an interest in dolls, dresses, and the girlier things in life. My daughter loves and looks up to her older brother, always copying what he says and does and wanting to play with whatever toy he’s playing with. In some ways, I think this delayed her fascination with more feminine things, but she definitely takes after her mother and I can see that in the way she picks out her clothes and toys.

When my daughter and I opened the hot pink closet-themed box, she immediately said, “that’s mine mommy.” We tried on the clothes and she twirled with joy.  She loved the two-piece tee and scooter set she received, which features a printed, tiered skort bottom with a printed Barbie graphic tee, complete with matching bow.  This adorable set is available at Walmart for just $9.88 (fabulous!).

We also received two additional Barbie tees which feature ruffled sleeves and sparkles! They were a bit big, but she’s growing quickly and I know she’ll be just as excited to wear them in a few months.

The entire line was designed for little girls to dress up and go wherever their imagination takes them and features sequins, sparkles, ruffles, bows, and playful, Barbie-inspired patterns and graphics.  Designed for girls in the sizes of 2T-5T, the clothing was created to allow easy dressing (my daughter easily dressed herself in the above outfit).  Find the collection, including tops, tunics, skirts, and leggings, exclusively at Walmart.

I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Barbie Clothing. I received a sample package to facilitate my review as well as a promotional item as a thank-you for participating.
