Peter Pan Returns to Never Land!

Yo Ho Ho!  Have you heard?  Peter Pan will return to Never Land this Monday in his first appearance on the hit Disney Junior series Jake and the Never Land Pirates.  My kids are devoted fans of the show and we’re counting down the days until Season 2 debuts on February 20th!

We recently headed over to Walt Disney Studios to preview the upcoming prime time special presentation.  The show follows a crew of kid pirates, led by Jake, on their adventures in Never Land.  The crew work together to solve pirate problems, which usually entails “bad guy” Captain Hook taking something from them.  After Jake and his pirate crew succeed in getting the item back, they receive gold doubloons as their reward.

Parents love the show because it emphasizes teamwork, problem solving, basic preschool skills like counting, and other life lessons. Kids gravitate towards the characters, the lively music, and the “pirate” themes presented in the show. And both go crazy for Sharky and Bones of The Never Land Pirate Band, which performs original pirate rock music.

The one hour special presentation will introduce children to Peter Pan as he returns to Pirate Island to find his lost shadow and features six original songs.  Adam Wylie, from Picket Fences, voices the role of Peter Pan and in the upcoming season, Sharon Osbourne, Josh Duhamel, Jane Kaczmarek, and Tiffani Thiessen will star in recurring roles, thereby joining an impressive cast that includes David Arquette, Tori Spelling, Lisa Loeb, Adam West and Ariel Winter.

Be sure to catch “Jake and the Never Land Pirates: Peter Pan Returns,” premiering Monday, February 13th at 7 pm ET/PT and Season Two which debuts Monday, February 20th at 8:30 am ET/PT.
