On-Trend Summer Fashion at The Children’s Place

Posted by Caryn Bailey 9 Comments

Color blocking…maxi dresses…strappy sandals…polos…plaids…layered looks.

This is the latest in summer fashion…for kids!  The official start to summer is less than two weeks away, and because we’re warming up, we’ve traded in the sweaters and sneakers for shorts and sandals.

The Children’s Place recently introduced their brand new summer line…fresh, colorful and fashionably on-trend. I’ve been a long-time shopper at The Children’s Place because the clothing and accessories offered are hip, affordable, and lasting.  Their new summer line for boys and girls is popping with color, patterns, and adornments, and exudes the playful, relaxed vibe that defines this season.

I thought my home store in Mission Viejo was generous in size, but when I walked into their expanded store at The Grove, I was thoroughly impressed with the selection of clothing available for boys and girls in all sizes.  Since my son is right in the middle of a growth spurt, I am constantly picking up pieces here and there to try to keep up.  I always find it difficult to shop for him but found some great pieces that will work through the Spring, Summer and Fall seasons.

For just around $50, I picked up the following:

For my daughter:

Purple Striped Tank

Capri Leggings

Cherry One-Piece Swimsuit with Matching Sunglasses

For my son:

2 Graphic Tees

1 pair of jeans

I actually had $100 to shop with, but only spent half of it (plus tax) because I thought I had gotten relatively close to that limit with the above items.  Children grow quickly, and the Children’s Place offers parents affordable, stylish options for clothing, accessories, shoes and more.  The stores frequently have sales, and at present, you’ll find items up to 50% off.

Something many parents don’t know is that The Children’s Place offers clothing in newborn and infant sizes. As I was perusing the Los Angeles store, I noticed that some of the latest fashion trends can also be found in sizes for infants and tots.

Super cute clothes! If only my kids were small enough – and fashionable enough! 😉

I cried when my daughter got too old to shop at Children’s Place. Cute, age-appropriate clothes at good prices.

I loved getting clothes there. They’re tshirts and jammies were always so soft.
