On-the-Go Snacks For Kids: Peter Rabbit Organics

Posted by Caryn Bailey Leave a Comment

Before I’ve had a chance to buckle my kids into their car seats, their requests for snacks come, quite persistently at times. Their growing, active bodies and developing brains require frequent, nutritious meals, so I make it a point to have healthy, on-the-go snacks on hand. I’ve learned to keep portable snacks in the house as well as in my car and in my purse for those times when they are hungry and healthy options are not available.

Fruit is hands down both of my children’s favorite food to snack on.  I could offer them strawberries or blueberries any day and they would readily eat them, hungry or not. But since fruit is perishable, I’ve turned to packaged, pureed fruit pouches like those offered by Peter Rabbit Organics when fresh options are simply not available.

Peter Rabbit Organics Veggie Blend

Many on-the-go snacks, such as fruit and veggie pouches contain artificial ingredients, excess sugar, and other unhealthy additives, which is why I like Peter Rabbit Organics, who commit to offering products that are organic, healthy, and enjoyable for kids.

The very first foods I introduced my children to as babies were fruits and veggies.  Peter Rabbit Organics fruit and veggie blends are suitable for children 6 months of age and older and would be a great way to introduce infants to these foods.  I personally like their veggie blends, which make it more palatable for children who may not readily want to eat vegetables.

My kids absolutely loved these snacks!  I knew they would enjoy the fruit snacks, but wasn’t sure about the veggie blends, particularly because I was concerned my son would think that it resembled baby food.  As you can see, both of them thoroughly enjoyed Peter Rabbit Organics veggie blends and we were finished with all of the pouches we were sent in just 2 days.

Peter Rabbit Organics currently offers 6 fruit snacks and 5 veggie blends in single serving, kid-sized, BPA-free pouches.  Because they are shelf-stable, I don’t have to worry about storing them while on the go.  The pouches also make it easy for children to learn to feed themselves and no spoon is required.  For younger children who may prefer the veggie blends at a warmer temperature, parents can simply heat them in some hot water (just be sure you don’t microwave the pouches).

Peter Rabbit Organics fruit snacks and veggie blends are now available at Walmart.
