Not Your Average Cup of Joe

Posted by Caryn Bailey Leave a Comment

For some (ahem…hubby) drinking coffee is about survival. Some people get up and go straight to the restroom. Not hubby…he goes straight to the French Press…or the Krups…or 1 of at least 4 coffee-making apparatuses we have in our domicile. Why two (and a half) people need double the amount of coffee-making apparutuses I don’t know…but we do! Hubby, I love you. But maybe you need to read this!

Hubby can drink coffee black…without cream…without sugar…black. I am a coffee snob. I need milk and chocolate (or vanilla or gingerbread or…) and whipped cream. Recently we sampled Joffrey’s “Jamaican Me Crazy” blend. Hubby woke up the other morning and robotically went straight for the kitchen. But that morning something was different. The sweet aroma of vanilla and caramel wafted into our bedroom. Mmmm…it smelled so nice. Hubby isn’t a huge fan of flavored coffees (he doesn’t like artifical flavoring) but I thought it was yummy. It is a medium blend coffee which is perfect because dark and stronger blends tend to taste bitter to me. A little milk, a little sugar…and there ya have it! A perfect cup of java.
Joffrey’s is a worldwide purveyor of gourmet coffees and teas. Look for them in your local coffee shops & kiosks, restaurants, and gourmet markets. To be honest, I had never heard of Joffrey’s but apparently Disney loves them! Joffrey’s has a huge assortment of coffees, teas, and the frosting to go with. They even have some organic coffees!

Each 1 pound bag retails from $10 – $15 and is available in drip grind, french press, and whole bean assortments. To find out more, visit their website. Bloggers, if you hurry you may be able to get in on their beta test.
