YO-KAI WATCH 2 features mysterious, mischievous, and invisible, YO-KAI surround you causing trouble. Often compared to ghosts, spirits, or monsters, these YO-KAI are inspired by common concerns kids have, which makes them unique and particularly compelling.
Yo-Kai Watch Franchise – The Next Big Thing
Hugely popular in Japan, YO-KAI WATCH debuted for Nintendo 3DS in the US last Fall, and it’s popularity inspired the latest sequel which launches on September 30th, 2016. The game follows the story of a boy named Nate who happens upon a capsule machine while searching for bugs in the woods near the town of Springdale (aka Sakura New Town in Japan). Upon opening a capsule, the YO-KAI Whisperer emerges and gives Nate a special device called the YO-KAI WATCH which will help him identify and see the YO-KAI that are causing mischief.
The newest game to take the kid world by storm is a role-play video game for the Nintendo 3DS platform. Players search Springdale for YO-KAI and befriend them with food in an effort to defeat them. The goal is to turn these YO-KAI into a team to battle other YO-KAI. Each YO-KAI has its own unique skills and strengths which are used to challenge the YO-KAI that are causing problems while solving challenges in the game.
YO-KAI WATCH 2
In YO-KAI WATCH 2, the adventure continues and expands with new areas to explore beyond Springdale. With more than 100 new YO-KAI, an improved in-game YO-KAI WATCH, and new time-traveling abilities, this sequel to the massively popular first installment of the series will immerse kids in a brand new experience with their favorite characters and worlds.

Nintendo recently celebrated the launch of YO-KAI WATCH 2 in Los Angeles with Mark Ballas from Dancing with the Stars. Guests had a chance to play the new game and screen the second season of THE animated show based on the game.
New YO-KAI Watch Toys From Hasbro
In anticipation of the Fall season, Hasbro is launching a brand new toy line inspired by the video game. Some of the new toys include the YO-KAI WATCH MODEL ZERO which was designed to look like the watch worn by Nate in Season 2 of the animated series. Players can also insert a YO-MOTION YO-KAI MEDAL into the watch to see a projected animation of that character. Additionally, Hasbro will release a new series of collectible YO-MOTION YO-KAI MEDALS which are compatible with the new watch, a host of accessories, large plush toys, electronic figures, and the YO-KAI Watch Trading Card Game.
YO-KAI WATCH: The Movie Event
On Saturday, October 15th, 2016, YO-KAI WATCH: The Movie Event will debut in theaters for one day. The film features the voice talent of popular show on Disney XD and tells the story of Nate Adams and his YO-KAI friends as they are transported to the past to help Nate’s grandfather Nathaniel battle evil YO-KAI with the newly invented YO-KAI Watch. The film will also introduce Hovernyan, a floating blue cat who is Nathaniel’s companion. The film will be released in 300 movie theaters throughout North America.
