Newport Dunes Holiday Wonderland

One of the many things I love about living in the OC is the abundance of family-friendly events and venues to take my children to.  We’ve lived down here for 3 years and still have a long list of places to explore and Newport Dunes is just one of them.

On Friday, December 3rd, Newport Dunes Waterfront Resort’s Lighting of the Bay will take place at 6 p.m.  Santa Claus will  kick off the season by flipping a giant switch to illuminate more than 50 electric Christmas trees throughout the bay. This free event is open to the public and will include live musical performances, caroling, and arts and crafts.  Guests can purchase seafood chowder and hot chocolate from Back Bay Bistro for a nominal fee.  You can also order your Christmas tree from the Dunes Tree Lot right on the property.  The following day (December 4th), bring your children back for Breakfast Brunch with Santa.
