My husband would likely tell you that I’m difficult to shop for. Because I’m not a collector, don’t wear perfume, have very specific taste in clothing and shoes, and no longer have time to read novels, he’d fare better just giving me a gift card.
Ironically, the one gift I really wanted this Mother’s Day came unexpectedly after I dropped my previous smart phone for what would be the very last time. I’ve been very overt about my desire for an iPhone, and when Verizon finally began offering customers the phone, my husband went straight to the store to purchase it. I currently own the iPhone 3, but Walmart is selling the iPhone 4 for $197 which is a fabulous price! Naturally, it’s too early to upgrade…right hubby?
As I continue to pursue photography, I’m realizing how limiting it is to own a single lens. I currently own Nikon’s 18-200 Zoom Lens which is ideal for shooting objects at a distance and landscapes. I’d like to own a shorter Macro lens for up close shots (i.e. food photography).
Last year, I lost one of the diamond stud earrings my husband bought me during our courtship. It would be nice to have a modestly priced replacement pair. These 1/2 carat princess cut white gold studs are gorgeous and surprisingly well-priced.
And of course, there is always that item that one can only dream of…
