It’s 2 am and the house is quiet and dark, save the faint glow of light that pours in from the office door that is slightly ajar. The occasional ruffle of papers and keyboard tapping is enough to break the silence without waking the rest of the house up. I’ve always been a night owl, and not much has changed since my college days except that instead of writing term papers, I’m writing stories, recipes and crafts. I always worked best under deadlines, so it isn’t surprising that in just a few short days, I’ll be headed to Los Angeles for a class reunion of sorts.
Monsters University will be open for new “students” on June 21st, 2013, and in anticipation of the glorious event, I’ll be attending a celebratory Tail Gate Party before the world premiere. Rumor has it that all the popular people will be there, including Billy Crystal, John Lasseter, Gwen Stefani, Alison Sweeney, Melissa Joan Hart, Ed Begley Jr., and Wayne Brady (to name a few!). And since the school’s colors are Royal Blue & White, I’m frantically perusing my closet for inspiration. Should I go preppy school girl, casual and sporty, or Boho Chic? I’ve been waiting for this my whole life! -Mike Wazowski, Monsters University
That is sort of how I feel about the upcoming premiere. It has been 2 months since we had our first “test” up in Emeryville, California as we got “schooled” on the film. With the premiere just days away, the excitement within me is building. The long-anticipated prequel follows the story of Mike and Sulley, scaring hopefuls beginning their first year at Monsters University. I can’t wait to share my full review of the film, but I can say without a doubt that you’ll laugh, reminisce, and be pleasantly surprised.
Now that I’ve been properly “schooled” on the film, I have a few tests for you!
Remember that Monsters University opens in theaters on June 21st, 2013.
