I decided a long time ago that I wouldn’t save our “good stuff” for the “right time.” My son has several outfits and pairs of shoes he only wore a handful of times because I was saving them for a special time. That special time is now and whether he’s going to school or we’re hanging out at Disneyland, he’s going to wear those adorable outfits we purchased and received as gifts.
I was recently introduced to Tea Collection, an artistic childrenswear company with clothing lines inspired from cultures around the world. Children are vibrant and colorful and their clothing captures their spirit beautifully. What’s unique about Tea is the fact that each season’s line is inspired by a new destination. But the company didn’t just glance through magazines for insight…they actually traveled to Spain for their latest Viva el Artista collection, which celebrates the artistic and playful spirit within us and their Barcelona Beach collection which features breezy plaids and bright colorful graphics.
With kids, it’s always a balance between fashion and function. I want to be practical about the clothes and shoes they wear while still emphasizing how adorable I think they are. I selected the Maramures Stripe Jumper in Berry with a long-sleeved Jet Black Rib Mockneck for my daughter and a Szekely Print Shirt in Birch with a pair of Mushroom Twill Moto Pants for my son.
I was so impressed with the quality of the pieces we received and they look even more stunning in person. While there is no shortage of chic, classy, and cutesy Girl’s Clothing on the market, it’s much more difficult to find stylish threads for boys. My son looks smart and handsome…my daughter looks beautiful…more like a little girl and less like a baby.
Tea’s selection of Children’s Clothing is diverse and the company offers pieces you won’t find anywhere. I’m particularly fond of their dresses which are modern and whimsical.
Right now, you can enter your little stylista in a contest at one of Tea Collection’s participating stores for a chance to win a photoshoot with the company. To enter, girls ages 8-12 will need to visit a store to model her favorite looks and be photographed. The winner will receive a trip for two to San Francisco which will include airfare, 2 night’s accommodations, a visit to the Tea studios, a personal photoshoot, time with the designers, and a $200 gift card.
