Mimi’s Cafe Kicks Off Second Annual Campaign To Fight Heart Disease In Women

Have a heart, save a life, Go Red For Women.  

Last week, Mimi’s Cafe kicked off its second annual campaign to help raise awareness for heart disease, the number one killer of women in the US.  In partnership with the American Heart Association’s Go Red For Women movement, Mimi’s Cafe will “go red” all month long to help through fundraising and education.

I am honored to support the campaign once again as one of six ambassadors this year. Mimi’s Cafe is a long time favorite restaurant of ours and the fact that they are the first restaurant to support Go Red For Women is remarkable.

Last week I shared some information on what you can do to support the movement including the following:

-Donate $1 and receive a heart-shaped tribute card to inscribe and display on the red dress standee located inside the restaurant

-Donate $5 and receive a limited-edition sparkle red dress lapel pin

-Anyone who donates will receive $30 in Mimi’s Cafe savings.

-Dine on any Tuesday during the month of February and receive a complimentary cup of Mimi’s soup with a donation

-Join Mimi’s Tweet Up this Thursday, February 7th at 1 pm PST. Dr. Brian Palafox will lead a discussion about a heart-healthy lifestyle and will answer any questions posed during the tweet up. Simply tweet with the hashtag #MimisGoesRed and you’ll also be entered to win prizes.

-Share photos of hearts and tell Mimi’s what you’re doing to improve your heart health and you’ll also be entered to win prizes all month long.

Remember that if you are unable to donate at your local restaurant, you can visit their website and make a donation online.
