About a year ago, my son really started becoming interested in superheros. You might remember that he dressed as Spiderman for Halloween last year. He wore that costume as much as I would let him that entire month before Halloween. His fascination with superheros continued and he’s been collecting several action figures in the last few months. So you can imagine our collective excitement about Marvel’s The Avengers, the soon-to-be released live-action film about the superhero team by the same name.
In the film, Nick Fury, who is the director of the peacekeeping agency known as S.H.I.E.L.D., recruits the Avengers (Iron Man, the Hulk, Thor, and Captain America) to save the world from destruction. The Avengers stars Robert Downey Jr., Mark Ruffalo, Samuel L. Jackson, and Scarlett Johansson.

The Avengers will be released on May 4th, 2012 in theaters nationwide.

I’m not a huge comic book movie fan but anything that has Robert Downey Jr in it, I’ll see!
