We have had a relatively mild winter here in Sunny California, but in other parts of the country the weather is still cold. If you’re like me, dry, itchy skin doesn’t go away when the weather warms up. As a mom and a nurse I wash my hands 30-50 times a day (and that may be an underestimation!). It doesn’t matter how many times I lotion up…dry skin is here to stay. Well…that is until Gloves in a Bottle.

I didn’t know any better…until I started reading more about shielding lotions, which bond with the outer layer of the skin and replace the protective barrier, thereby keeping the irritants out and my skin’s own natural oils and moisture in. EVERY conventional lotion I’ve used on the market has rubbed off with hand-washing. At some point I decided that it is ineffective to use lotions at work, where I am constantly washing my hands. So I would wait until I got home to moisturize, hoping that my hands would heal overnight…only to wake up and do the same thing all over again. The result was persistent dry, irritated hands. I do find that I have to apply it a couple of times during my 12 hour shift because I wash my hands so frequently AND the alcohol gel we are required to use is extremely harsh.

I think that our family would benefit from the fact that it heals cracked skin. It’s a pedi issue at my home.
I hope it’s okay that I don’t want the product for myself but for my son who works on machinary all the time and has a dry, itchy patch on the palms of his hands. He usually goes to bed with vaseline and white gloves on to try to heal it. Since they say the gloves in a bottle helps the natural moisture from being robbed it might really help my son. Thanks

It seems like when I apply a regular hand lotion, it helps temporarily, but then the next day my skin looks and feels the same way. Fragrance-free is probably the best thing for us. I’m very allergic to perfumes.
I have had more than one person in my life tell me my hands look very old and wrinkly, and dry skin has been a life-long problem for me. And my feet – don’t get me started. I like the idea that it’s a shielding lotion without harsh chemicals. Not only do I wash my hands a lot but I use the antibacterial gels which strip my hands leaving me not only with dryness but cracks that hurt! I’d love to try this.

I live in an extremely dry climate up here in Canada. I’ve heard other sites talk about this hand lotion and I think it would be fantastic for my skin, however, I can’t find it here in my area. I am always wanting to try a product that is safe for my daughter and my excema proned skin. We too have used the “cow utter” cream and would love to have a product that replinish our skin’s moisture without smelling and feeling gross. So I hope I win!!

I love the idea of creating a barrier to allow the skin to heal itself. I was fascinated by the woman who used it on her chapped lips. I have to try that. I’m also anxious to see how it works on my cracked peeling feet.

I’m a school teacher, so I wash my hands a lot, too! So the fact that it doesn’t wash off is the most useful aspect for me!
My son has extremely dry skin that we’ve tried everything on. Even the thickest moisturizers wear off too soon. I think the healing protection is a wonderful benefit of this product.

I had hyperhydrosis up til a few years ago. That pretty much means that my hands sweated badly nearly all the time. I had a surgery to fix the problem by making it so my hands are unable to sweat, but now my hands get so dry and my skin sometimes crack.
