For the past few years, we’ve made the OC Fair a family tradition. I remember eating Cotton Candy, riding the Ferris Wheel with my dad, and admiring the farm animals as a child, and those are memories my husband and I are recreating with our own children.
The OC Fair is in full swing with just 2 weeks left. I actually wrote a comprehensive guide for families over at CBS Los Angeles. However, I wanted to share some photos of our experience last week. This year’s theme is Let’s Eat!, and of course, you’ll find your traditional favorites like funnel cake, BBQ, and falafel along with some new and interesting delicacies like deep-fried Kool-Aid, chocolate-covered corn dogs, and beer-battered bacon.
Beyond the food, there truly is a ton of fun to be had…much of which is free! For example, you can cool off at the Ice Museum which features beautiful works of art rendered in ice…
or marvel at The Peking Acrobats…
Or take a ride on one of the carnival rides (prices vary per attraction)…
We ended the day with a ride on the Ferris Wheel at night which is personally my favorite time to ride…
