Knott's Berry Farm For The Cure

I love to see brands partner for important causes, which is why when Knott’s Berry Farm announced they would be partnering with Susan G. Komen Orange County, I had to learn more. Tomorrow, I’ll be heading to a press conference to learn more about this partnership, which will be showcased throughout the park. Susan G. Komen is the world’s largest breast cancer organization and funds more cancer research than any other nonprofit organization.  Simultaneously, they work to provide assistance to those who have been diagnosed with breast cancer.

While we’re definitely seeing steps forward in the fight against breast cancer (i.e. Robin Roberts from Good Morning America), there is still much work to be done to find a cure. And as you are well aware, the type of research and services offered by Susan G. Komen requires resources and funding.  Knott’s Berry Farm has already donated $25,000 to the organization which will provide women right here in Orange County with life-saving breast cancer related health services.

Sometimes, issues such as breast cancer may seem far removed.  But right here in Orange County, one in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer, which makes the need to find a cure so urgent. Susan G. Komen Orange County uses the funding they receive to conduct research on new treatments and raise awareness about the importance of annual mammograms for early detection. Women who are uninsured can also receive free screening through the organization.

From February 1st through March 31st, 2014, guests will notice themed “pink” décor throughout the park including a pink Knott’s Berry Farm for the Cure display featuring Snoopy and Woodstock. Guests can also be involved in supporting the organization by purchasing a commemorative limited edition magnet to place on a special display in honor or memory of someone affected by breast cancer.  All proceeds will benefit Susan G. Komen Orange County.

Be sure to buy your “Pink Tickets” online at Knotts.com since a portion of these proceeds will also benefit Susan G. Komen Orange County.

Win It! One of you will win 2 tickets to Knott’s Berry Farm which can be used any day throughout 2014. Simply complete the Rafflecopter form before February 8th, 2014 and leave a comment with one of your favorite memories at the park.

My grandpa is an iron worker and built a lot of the rides and structures. It was so cool as a kid to have my mom show me everything my grandpa built. Makes me smile everytime I go to Knotts. Oh and funnel cakes…they have the best funnel cakes ever!

Only been once with my hubby and son. My daughter would love to go. Anything to spend time with family is wonderful. This is awesome, my mother in law just moved in with us from Georgia. She is fighting breast cancer, she has finished her chemo and radiation. I’m glad to see more information and education about breast cancer. Thank you

The first time we went, my daughter wanted to go on one of the roller coasters. She acted terrified while she was on it, but then wanted to go again right away! And acted terrified that time, too! Kids!
