Inspirational Back To School Products From DaySpring

Posted by Caryn Bailey Leave a Comment

In just a few short days, my son will start kindergarten at our local public school.  I have a wide range of emotions coursing through me…excitement, fear, joy, sadness.  In some ways, I’m mourning the fact that he is no longer a baby. I know that he hasn’t been a baby for some time now, but entering school is like the official confirmation of this fact.

But mostly, I’m in awe of how much he’s grown physically, emotionally, and relationally. He is independent in so many ways and constantly absorbing all sorts of information. I often pray that he’ll remember the things we have taught him…those important life lessons about being kind, patient, gracious, and giving.

DaySpring Back To School Products

A few weeks ago, I was introduced to an inspirational new line of back to school products from DaySpring, a division of Hallmark with a simple but profound vision…”to make Christ known through the printed message.”  Today, the company is the largest publisher and distributor of Christian greeting cards in the world.

For children like my son, who will enter a public school with children and teachers from all faiths, I think this a great way or him to begin conversations about his faith.  At the very least, it’s a subtle way for others to know that his faith is important to him.

DaySpring Back to School Products

DaySpring‘s new back to school line, which is now available at Walmart, includes binders, notebooks, folders, planners, and pencil pouches which feature trendy boy or girl-themed artwork and either a scripture or inspirational message.  The company’s hope in creating the line is that they will connect kids with the heart of God through messages of hope and encouragement.

We were able to select the items we liked, so I chose products featuring All Creation Sings and Make a Joyful Noise.  I love the music tie-in as well as the hip, retro-like artwork.  These particular lines utlize gray and black color schemes (perfect for boys), while the girl-focused lines utilizes pink and brown color schemes.  The messages are subtle but likely to initiate conversation, since children are naturally curious.

One of my favorite products is the Composition Notebook.  When you open the notebook, you’ll find a list of quotes and related scripture that can help encourage children throughout their school day.

With most products under $5, DaySpring’s new inspirational line of Back to School products is a great way to encourage children in their faith.

Disclosure:  I participate in the Walmart Moms program and am compensated for my time and honest opinions.
