As for New York City, it is a place apart. There is not its match in any other country in the world.
Pearl S. Buck
New York City is one of my favorite cities in the world…glitzy and glamourous…whimsical and sentimental…contemporary yet historic. There are not many cities I’d want to live in, outside of Southern California. But oh how I’d love to spend a year or three in New York.
When I learned I’d be heading to New York City to cover the red carpet premiere of War Horse, I can’t tell you the flood of emotions I felt…after being unable to visit this glorious city in September, I was overwhelmed with joy at the opportunity to see this city during the holidays.
For eight incredible hours, I walked, shopped, ate, and soaked in as much of New York City as I could possibly fit in. And at the end of the day I was tired…the kind of satisfied fatigue that leaves you content. While I had my “official” camera in tow, I managed to snag some gorgeous photos of the city with my iPhone.
