Find the Best Rates on Auto Insurance at AutoInsurance.com

Before I married my husband, I had a nearly flawless driving record. I was under my parent’s insurance and I honestly didn’t concern myself with this “grown-up” issue. The time came for us to begin merging our lives together…bank accounts…name changes…auto insurance.  Having NEVER shopped around for auto insurance, I have to say it was a bit overwhelming and a lot confusing.  I’m thankful my husband had more knowledge than I did at the time and stepped up to the plate to find the best deal with the coverage we needed for our family. Periodically, he shops around for a better rate, but that process is never simple or seamless.

If you find the process of shopping for auto insurance time-consuming and confusing, you’ll appreciate Walmart’s new partnership with AutoInsurance.com. This new site streamlines the process of searching for and purchasing auto insurance and provides independent, unbiased information to help you make an informed decision.

Here is how it works:

1. Visit AutoInsurance.com and type in your name, address, and date of birth. You also have the option to allow the site to retrieve your current policy including the vehicles and drivers covered.

2. The site will then fill in most of the information needed to give you real-time quotes from reputable carriers such as Progressive and 21st Century, to help you make comparisons to your current policy.

3. After reviewing policies and pricing, you have the option of purchasing a new policy on the site, without having to go through a third party. If you feel more comfortable completing this process over the phone, AutoInsurance.com also employs licensed agents who can assist with the process of choosing a policy.

At present, the service is only available in Arkansas, Louisiana, Missouri, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, and Texas, but their is a plan for a nationwide roll-out so be sure to visit the site or check back here for updates.

While I haven’t personally used the service (since it isn’t available in California yet), I do like the fact that I can search AND make a purchase without having to leave AutoInsurance.com.  Because the information is provided in real-time, I can also visit periodically to ensure I’m still receiving the best rate. AutoInsurance.com educates and empowers you to make the best decision for you and your family.  If you’re confused about the overall process of auto insurance, the site provides an Auto Insurance 101 section that will help you get a better understanding of shopping, using, and maintaining your insurance.

AutoInsurance.com

AutoInsurance.com is a FREE service and offers a referral program. Refer a friend (up to 5) and when he/she completes a quote, Walmart will give you a $5 gift card (up to $25 total).

Do you plan on using AutoInsurance.com? I’d love to hear about how much you could save in the comments section below.

For more information, visit Walmart.com/AutoInsurance.
