Holiday Giveaway: Basket of Indulgence

Posted by Caryn Bailey 307 Comments

*Update*

This giveaway is now closed!  Thanks for stopping by. The winners are Denise B., Angela Kohler, and Tammy!

I love to snack.  I could graze all day eat small, frequent meals every day if I had the time to plan them out.  What I don’t love are high calorie, high fat snacks that leave me feeling hungry.  General Mills has just launched their all-new Chex Mix Bars, a tasty combination of Chex pieces, pretzels, peanuts, caramel, and chocolate and will satisfy your sweet and salty cravings.  Don’t worry, one bar contains less than 150 calories, 3.5 grams of fat, and 8 grams of whole grains per serving.  That is the Weight Watchers equivalent of 2 points.  They’re YUMMY and hubbie liked them too!  They’re more chewy then crunchy and while sweet, still remind me more of a granola bar than a candy bar.

I love chocolate…and bubble baths…and massages!   If you do too, then read on!

my favorite thing to snack on is an old classic but still is a very tasty snack in my opinion: chips n dip, ( gotta be french onion dip) and I also like spinach dip/artichoke dip too and with those I prefer pita chips or crackers. Thanks for the fantastic giveaway and I am really hoping to score one of these chex baskets of indulgence, I love chocolate in just about any form and this looks so yummy

Unfortunately I munch on Fudge that I make. I don’t care if it’s Chocolate or Peanut Butter Fudge. I even try putting Walnuts in it so I won’t eat it because of a Walnut allergy. Yet, you’ll see me picking out the nuts and still getting a nibble now and then. I don’t think I’ll make Fudge this year, even though Hubby won’t be happy about it. I’ll need to come up with something else to keep us both happy and a little more healthy when those temptations strike.

I like to snack on M&Ms and holiday cookies the most during the holidays. This is a great giveaway and I really hope I win especially since I absolutely love the new Chex bars and would love to win some more of them. Thanks for the opportunity.

During the holidays I allow myself to snack on just about anything I want, but once they are over with I go back to my healthy eating and low card lifestyle. And, I don’t overdo it with the snacking during the holidays, I just pick here and there are my favorites. Want to know what those favorite are? I just love the traditional cut out holiday cookies whether they are butter cookies frosted or sugar cookies frosted. I love the taste of the cookies combined with the frosting and they remind me of when I was a child, so full of wonderment and being carefree. I also love to snack on all the great dips, like warm pecan dip that my sister makes or mexican layered dips that my husband loves to make. I also love traditional chex mix. That is always around during the holidays and I can remember loving to munch on that for years now. Thank you so much for this incredibly decadent giveaway!

Raw shelled sunflower seeds, love ’em! I grab a handful and put them in my ‘chipmunk cheek’ as my husband calls it and it lasts me a while to eat through them, for me it limits me so I don’t overdo the snacking and it satisfies my cravings. It also makes me thirsty so I drink more water. I have found this solution works great for me.

Thank you for the chance to win the nice basket, would make a great christmas present…FOR ME! lol
