My son is at this incredible age where he is quite attune to things like season changes, holidays, and perspective in time. Once we celebrated Thanksgiving, he started talking about Christmas…how he wants to help Daddy put up a tree and see his home decorated with lights.
If you’re looking for an easy, affordable way to add some festive holiday cheer to your home, you can easily create your own Holiday Wreath, personalized to your sense of style. Walmart’s Christmas Catalog offers step-by-step instructions for this festive Holiday Craft.
Here are the supplies you’ll need:
1 24″ Wreath
2-4 Rolls of Ribbon
Assorted large and small Decorative Picks
Hot glue gun
1. Start by weaving the ribbon around the wreath in a clockwise fashion
2. Create the bow:
Begin with one loop and place a small amount of glue. Twist and make another loop, gluing in between. Be sure to loop in a circular fashion. When you get to the final loop, glue it in place in the center of the bow. Once the glue is set, you can move the loops and shape the bow.
3. Attach the bow with hot glue
4. Place decorative picks, ornaments, pine cones, etc. around the wreath
This craft can easily be made for $15 or less and it’s a fun project that you can involve the kids in. Perhaps let them choose the decorative pieces to place around the wreath.
