When I was a little girl, my mother and I would shop at the Hello Kitty Store at our local mall. I adored their unique selection of toys, stationery, gifts, and candy. A few months ago, the Hello Kitty Cafe Truck took up residence at Irvine Spectrum Center and my daughter could not stop talking about it. We frequented the truck for petit fours and lattes, and waited in anticipation for the cafe to open. This Fall, the first ever Hello Kitty Grand Cafe opens in Irvine, California, and we have the latest on what you can expect.

Hello Kitty Grand Cafe

On September 14, 2018, the first-ever Hello Kitty Grand Cafe will open at Irvine Spectrum Center. The cafe is the first and only permanent cafe in the US and will include a fast casual cafe open to the public, a private room for reservation-only Afternoon Tea and Cocktail Service.

Hello Kitty Cafe

Families visiting the Irvine Spectrum can stop in for a sweet treat at the Hello Kitty Cafe. Menu offerings include made-to-order mini hot donuts, pick-your-own 4 piece set of Sanrio character mini cakes, an assortment of cakes, pies, cookies, and macarons. Drinks include iced teas, espresso, smoothies, lemonade, and more.

The cafe will also offer a gold bow handle mug ($25) and a pink and rose colorway gold sequined Chubby Bunny bow ($30).

The Hello Kitty Cafe will accommodate up to 12 seated guests and feature classic white walls with kawaii Hello Kitty icons and unique artwork specifically created for the location.

The Bow Room

The Bow Room at the Hello Kitty Grand Cafe will offer an exclusive reservation-only experience for guests.

Afternoon tea service will be offered for $55 per person by reservation only, Wednesdays through Sundays. The menu includes fresh seasonal fruit, savory tea sandwiches, a selection of sweets, and accoutrements. Their expansive tea selection includes a special Birthday Tea blend. Additionally, the Bow Room will feature modern, Hello Kitty fixtures and decor.

Hello Kitty Cocktail Bar

Adults can enjoy a unique-concept cocktail bar evenings from 5 pm until closing by reservation only at the Bow Room. Cocktails service includes adult libations with a Hello Kitty twist such as You Had Me at Hello, Matcha Matcha, Dear Daniel, and 1974. The Bow Room will also feature a curated wine list including the Hello Kitty Sparking Rosè, Hello Kitty Pinot Grigio, Hello Kitty Prosecco, and Piper Heidsieck Cuvee Brut
