Hanna Andersson Opens at The Shops at Mission Viejo

Posted by Caryn Bailey 7 Comments

In the midst of lazy days at the pool and our SoCal summer adventures, I can’t help but think about the coming school year.  It’s hard to believe my son will start school this year, and inevitably, we will be doing some major back to school shopping to prepare. I remember the excitement I felt as a child, before the new school year was to begin. My mother and I would spend an entire day shopping to spruce up my wardrobe.

Hanna Andersson

Just over a week ago Hanna Andersson opened it’s 32nd location at The Shops at Mission Viejo, and I imagine families will gravitate towards the specialty childrenswear retailer for their back to school needs. Hanna Andersson was started by a Swedish mother looking for beautiful, quality pure-cotton children’s clothes like the ones she remembers from Sweden.  Today, the brand is a leader in the area of specialty childrenswear and known for their quality and colorful designs.

Hanna Andersson’s philosophy is to “let kids be kids,” which I wholeheartedly believe.  I personally want my children to wear comfortable, breathable fabrics.  However, I also want them to look stylish and trendy.  And despite how quickly children grow and outgrow their clothes, quality is important.

Not having had a lot of exposure to the brand, I was impressed with the cozy-soft fabrics and vibrant, colorful prints. Hanna Andersson also uses eco-friendly fabrics, which I find impressive. Here are a few photos from the store’s opening:

One of the first things I noticed about any store is how they mix and match items to create sets.  Leopard prints, Tutu skirts, and a kaleidoscope of color are just some of the trends you’ll find in their girls’ section.

Since we’re in the midst of preparing for the back-to-school season, the store has a plethora of backpacks, lunch bags and other essentials.

What a cute and beautiful line! I think a store just opened up here in the Cleveland area not too long ago, I’ll definitely have to check it out!
