Because we have two small children, you’ll find the four of us trick-or-treating in our neighborhood or attending our community Fall Fest this Halloween. But there was a time when both my husband and I attended parties hosted by friends. In fact, my husband and I met at a Halloween Party, so I’m all for the not-too-spooky celebrations..
Last week, I was invited to return to the Wilton Headquarters in Chicago for the latest on their Fall and Winter products and projects. If you’ve ever visited the Wilton website, than you know that there is a wealth of inspiration ideas for every celebration…however big or small. Wilton’s products make it feasible for people like myself (who’s specialty is not decorating) to recreate the ideas in their books and on their website.
Earlier this month, I highlighted some of the more kid and family-friendly Halloween products available. This year, the company recognized that more and more adults are having parties, particularly since the holiday falls on a weekend, and thus developed products and projects to fit. One of my favorite ideas was to make a bread and spinach & artichoke appetizer using their Dimensions 3-D Skull Pan.
Another idea presented was a bread and tomato sauce appetizer using their Fingers Non-Stick Cookie Pan.
Here is a bat-inspired appetizer using Blue Corn Chips, spread, and olives for eyes.
To give your drinks that added spooky touch, check out Wilton’s Garnish Picks, Drink Parasols, and Candy Eyeball Drink Stirs.
Wilton is known for their creative twist on cakes and sweet treats. This one just happens to be my favorite…
