Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 opened with a an epic battle scene pinning the spacefaring superhero team against a colossal monster. But all I could really focus on was Baby Groot dancing to Electric Light Orchestra’s Mr. Blue Sky. And perhaps that juxtaposition between epic superhero space battles and the comic relief afforded by the team is why I have such an affinity for the comic book series. Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! recently opened at Disney California Adventure Park, perfectly timed with the film’s release. And this summer, the Guardians of the Galaxy will join Spider-Man and The Avengers during Marvel Universe LIVE! Age of Heroes.
Your favorite comic book series will come to life during Marvel Universe LIVE! which will begin its Southern California tour on July 7th, 2017. The live action arena show will feature Doctor Strange, the Guardians of the Galaxy and the Avengers as they team up for a crusade against Nebula, Loki and Green Goblin. Twenty five Marvel characters will assemble in one quest to defend the universe from evil and recover the Wand of Watoomb before it reaches Loki. In this epic feud, student will be pitted against mentor, sister against sister and brother against brother. The show will include non-stop action, cinematic thrills and jaw-dropping stunts.
Marvel Universe LIVE! Age of Heroes begins its tour in Los Angeles and will also continue to run in Ontario and Anaheim. The show features immersive video projection and innovative special effects to transport audiences from Savage Land to New York City. You’ll watch the aerial stunts of Spider-Man and Wasp while Captain America wields his motorcycle. And while the stunts and fight sequences are exciting, the goal is that the audience is front and center when it comes to the action.
