During the winter, I find it particularly challenging to find creative, interesting things to do with my children. My son, in particular, won’t be cooped up inside for long, so an activity that involves getting the wiggles out is always a plus.
There are an abundance of indoor play spaces in Southern California. What makes Endless Food and Fun unique is that it offers one of the longest buffets in Southern California and one of the largest and most technologically advanced lazer tag arenas in the country.
Endless Food and Fun is set up a bit differently than most indoor play spaces. Everyone who enters must pay for the buffet in order to use the facilities. Fortunately, the price of the buffet during the week is $11.99 ($13.99 on the weekends) for adults and $7.99 for children ($8.99 on the weekends). Endless drinks are an additional $3.00. If you’re planning on spending a few hours at the facility, you may want to consider one of the four packages offered which include the buffet, drinks, a fun card and lazer tag.
The buffet itself offers a wide variety of foods including a robust salad bar. Also spotted were vegetables, baked chicken, pasta, rice, and potatoes. If you’d like a pizza, the kitchen will make it for you so that it’s hot and fresh. The buffet also features a carving station and a sufficient selection of kid-friendly meal options. For a venue that is turning out large quantities of food, I was impressed with the quality and food choices, although I would have liked to see more wholesome options such as whole grain breads, whole wheat pasta, and brown rice. I also found their dessert selection to be scarce, particularly considering my son has food allergies and was not able to eat any of the items. I should note that it has been some time since I’ve visited the establishment and the menu and food choices could very well have changed.
To be honest, I was initially puzzled at the concept of a fine dining restaurant inside such a casual establishment. However, after speaking with the owner, I began to understand a bit more about his vision for families. He wanted to create a place where couples could enjoy a nice evening out…a date night of sorts…without having to leave their children with a babysitter. When we spoke, he mentioned that child care would be provided so that couples could dine at Delicioso, the venue’s upscale restaurant offering steaks, seafood, and pasta.
Geared towards older children, Endless Food and Fun offers over one hundred arcade and redemption games and a lazer tag arena that can accommodate up to 80 players. The venue is noteworthy for their two in one, double lazer tag arena which offers a variety of ways to team up players. Unfortunately, the venue is not designed to entertain younger children. Many of the games were too advanced for my 3 year old and while we did enjoy a few geared towards preschoolers, I didn’t find that there was much for him to do. It should also be noted that with any facility offering pay-per-game, the amount of money you spend could add up quickly. It might be prudent to purchase a package.
The facility itself was inviting, spacious, and clean. There are several themed dining rooms complete which allow guests to watch their favorite sports game or sing karaoke, among other activities. For more information, please visit their website.
No compensation was received for this post. We were invited to preview the facility and received a meal and game tokens as part of the preview.
