Quidam…a nameless passer-by, a solitary figure lingering on a street corner, a person rushing past and swallowed by the crowd
Fifteen years ago, Cirque du Soleil’s Quidam premiered in Montreal, Canada. After a successful world tour, it’s coming to Long Beach for just eight performances (over 5 days). I have yet to see the show, but here is a brief synopsis:
Young Zoé is bored; her parents, distant and apathetic, ignore her. Her life has lost all meaning. Seeking to fill the void of her existence, she slides into an imaginary world—the world of Quidam—where she meets characters who encourage her to free her soul.
With an international cast which includes 52 world-class acrobats, musicians, singers and characters, it’s certain to be spectacular.
Quidam will make it’s return to Southern California for performances April 20th through 24th at the Long Beach Convention & Entertainment Center. You can also attend a performance in Ontario at the Citizens Business Bank Arena from April 27th through May 1st. Tickets are available online, via phone, or in person at the box office.
