You might have noticed that Rockin’ Mama is getting a bit crafty! I’m definitely more analytical by nature, but lately I’ve been tapping into my creative side, mostly because of my kids. If I had an abundance of time, I’d take a variety of classes to continue exploring my passions for food, photography, and travel.

Recently, I was introduced to the art of floral design, a craft I had never even thought about pursuing. I remember when my husband and I were planning our wedding. Flowers were integral, specifically because we had an outdoor wedding. It was spring and I wanted fresh, vibrant colors that would stand out amongst the greenery we were surrounded by. Our florist was incredible. If I can find a photo of my bouquet, I’ll post it.

Flour is a Los Angeles based florist specializing in floral arrangements for weddings and events, floral art, and floral design parties. Recently, the visionary behind the artistic design studio decided to launch a series of floral design classes based on feedback from people wanting to learn the art form.
The classes will focus on the foundation of floral design and are ideal for the novice looking to gain professional design experience. Attendees will learn flower preparation and care, how to use specific flower design tools, aesthetics and design, and how to buy flowers. Those who participate in the class will also have the opportunity to design their own floral arrangement.
Each class is limited to just 15 participants and held at the following location:
