Over the summer, my son discovered Fortnite, an online, multiplayer survival video game where players fight zombies and build fortifications while collecting the tools and weapons necessary to stay alive. The game is a global phenomenon, and the social, cooperative component has been a large part of its draw for kids like my son. Inspired by the game’s free-to-play Fortnite Battle Royale, Big Air Trampoline Park recently announced that they would be hosting Fortnite-inspired events this Fall. Find out how you can join the fight for survival at Big Air’s Battle Royale.
What is Fortnite?
Fortnite debuted just one year ago, and as such is still technically in development. The game is set on modern-day Earth and has two modes, Fortnite: Save the World (available for Microsoft Windows, macOS, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One), and Fortnite Battle Royale, which is free to play and also includes platforms on Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android devices. Battle Royale is the game most people talk about when referencing Fortnite and has grown to encompass millions of players.
Big Air Trampoline Park
Big Air Trampoline Park is located in Laguna Hills, California and boasts an expansive indoor play space which includes a large main court with trampolines, two dodgeball courts, a foam pit, a battle beam, slam-dunk basketball, an X-wall, a Laser Maze, and a L’il Air space for younger kids.
Big Air’s Battle Royale
This Friday, Big Air Trampoline Park will host its first Fornite-inspired event from 8 pm to 11 pm at their Laguna Hills, California location. During Big Air’s Battle Royale, kids can jump and climb through the trampoline park while picking up laser-tag weapons, building structures, and escaping the looming storm. While you wait to begin the battle, sip on some exclusive or play a game in the game truck. There will be special music, lighting, and a Floss-off dance contest.
