Facialworks – A Customized Facial You Can Afford

Posted by Caryn Bailey Leave a Comment

{Consideration provided by Facialworks}

Every quarter I look forward to the “me time” I’ve built into my schedule. I love a good massage and I know that my body benefits from that hour of therapeutic relaxation. And while I would choose a massage over any treatment if given the option, I’m finding that as I age, my skin is beginning to suffer. I’ve noticed the onset of fine lines around my eyes and forehead and persistent dryness. My therapist recently suggested regular facials to improve the look and feel of my skin. When it comes to skincare, prevention and maintenance are key to a youthful, flawless complexion.

Admittedly, facials can be pricey which is precisely why I often have to choose between taking care of my skin or relaxing my body. I was recently introduced to Facialworks, located in Newport Beach, which offers an affordable option for regular, customized skincare. Their menu of mini-facials (40 minutes) can address everything from dryness to brown spots and breakouts and cost $50 each.

When you walk into the salon, you are greeted with champagne or coffee while your esthetician discusses your skincare concerns. The set-up allows for you to watch a movie, however, I used that time to close my eyes and rest during my facial. Facialworks offers 5 mini-facials including Hydraworks, Ageworks, Brightworks, Clearworks and Organicworks, depending on your skincare concerns and goals. I opted for their Hydraworks facial which includes two passes of oxygen and left my skin feeling incredibly hydrated.

The salon features an open-style design with reclining chairs. You can also opt for a private room and a more traditional facial, if desired. Once my esthetician had selected the ideal products for my skin, I was able to relax while she began cleansing, exfoliating, and hydrating my skin. The most unique part of my facial was the oxygen that she infused into my skin. It was cool and refreshing on my skin and the improvement in dryness was realized immediately.

Unique to Facialworks is their monthly memberships, which offer a discount on services, add-ons and products. I have been looking for a way to get regular facials to improve my skin and to prevent further signs of aging and their memberships make that goal affordable and feasible.  And while I don’t necessarily have the time to spend 2 hours at a spa every month for a facial, I could easily squeeze in 40 minutes a few times a month to take care of my skin.

Have you ever been to Facialworks?  I’ve partnered with Mary, Jennifer, and Angela to offer one reader a “Girls Day” package.
