My Top 5 Favorite All-Natural Skin Care Products + How You Can Save During the Facial Care Sale at Whole Foods Market

{This is a sponsored post for Whole Foods Market}

Since we never get a ton of rain here in Southern California and we’re currently experiencing a drought, our skin gets especially dry during the winter season.  My son and daughter in particular have allergies and sensitivities, which makes their skin more prone to dryness and irritation. My own personal skin care regimen is relatively basic (wash, moisturize, protect from the sun) throughout the year, but there are some products I love that are effective, good for my skin, and good for the planet.

Body Care at Whole Foods

Since I am careful about the products we use and consume, I often shop Whole Foods Market’s Body Care Department.

Premium Body Care at Whole Foods Market

This weekend, February 7th through 9th, 2014, Whole Foods is having a 3-Day Facial Care Sale. While I’lll often see specific items on “sale” throughout the store, this is one of the only times you’ll save 25% on all facial care products throughout the store including cleansers, eye creams, toners, moisturizers, scrubs, masks, and serums.

Since it can be difficult to navigate facial care products, I thought I’d highlight my personal favorites and recommendations, all of which meet their Body Care Quality Standards.

 Burt's Bees

Burt’s Bees Facial Cleansing Towelettes:  Despite the fact that I know going to bed with makeup is probably one of the worst skin care habits to get into, it happens way too often.  I keep these soothing towelettes from Burt’s Bees on my night stand for those nights when I forget and don’t want to get back out of bed. They’re infused with White Tea and Cucumber and cleanse and tone in one easy step.

Mineral Fusion

Mineral Fusion Skin-Renewing Facial Scrub: When the weather is as dry as it is, I use this scrub to exfoliate and smooth my skin. This scrub is gentle enough to use daily and includes minerals, enzymes, and soothing botanicals.

alba botanica

alba botanica Natural Hawaiian Eye Gel: No matter how much sleep I get, I always seem to have dark circles under my eyes. This soothing eye gel is infused with aloe, green tea antioxidants, cucumber, and chamomile to calm puffiness and help firm and tone the skin around the eyes.

Dr. Hauschka

Dr. Hauschka Regenerating Serum:  As I age, I’ve noticed the inevitable fine lines, particularly around my eyes. Red clover is the key botanical in this serum and helps firm mature skin while minimizing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

John Masters Organics

John Masters Organics spf 30 Natural Mineral Sunscreen: Because we live in a city that sees the sun most days of the year, it’s vital to protect our skin UV rays.  I wear sunscreen every day, and only recently learned that the small amount present in most foundations is not sufficient. This particular sunscreen in infused with shea butter, green tea extracts and jojoba oil to hydrate, moisturize, and replenish skin while providing protection from potentially damaging UVA & UVB rays.

All of these products and more (excluding lip balms and makeup) are now on sale at Whole Foods Market through February 9th, 2014. For more information, visit your local Whole Foods Market.
