We’re two weeks away from Christmas, which means it’s almost time to start thinking about finishing up your holiday shopping (unless you’re like me and like to procrastinate with some purchases until the very last minute!). While I still have friends and family members to shop for, I have finished up most of my purchases for the kids.
Shopping for them was relatively easy since they were reasonable with their requests. I found that some items my son wanted were in high demand, so we had to wait until they were back in stock to purchase them. One of the things I also did was utilize Walmart’s Layaway Service so that we didn’t have to spend a lot of money in a short amount of time.
Now that we’re approaching the middle of the month, you’ll want to pick up any items you’ve placed on layaway to ensure they don’t get canceled and restocked. Once you have paid for and picked up your items, you’ll receive a $5 Walmart Gift Card (this is to reimburse you for the $5 open fee you paid when you placed items on layaway).
While this definitely wasn’t my intent, I found that placing items on layaway actually provided a way to keep my children from seeing their Christmas gifts. So now I’ll only have about 10 days of hiding as opposed to months!
